All that is stamped on the block is April 66

As far as I know 1968 was the first year the VIN was stamped on the block. It was located on top of the bell housing flange area at the rear of the block near the oil pressure sending unit. I believe starting in 1969 it was stamped on a cast pad on the side of the block near the oil pan rail. I don't remember which side though. Chris
