Vin on title is 0834284F255X, plate pn door frrame is 5HP-F20692. Why?   posted: March 22, 2012       Answers (3)   nomadsrule      I am no expert on pick up trucks,but I do know that in the earlier years of cars,many times the V.I.N. on the title matched the engine # and not the I.D.tag on the vehicle,maybe that is what you have there. posted:  March 26, 2012   nomadsrule      I forgot to mention.................providing that the I.D. tag is not a D.O.R. assigned tag ! (Department of Revenue) This is a replacement tag that is issued by the state in cases where the original was lost, stolen, or tampered with.
