How do I match vin# to body plate
I am trying to get the sequence# to match vin#

if it is a gm car the bodies were produced in a different location than frames .the data plate shows sequence # of bodies made at a certian location and serial # were assigned upon assemble.the location of assembly .plant location letter should be same but body number matching serial number would be accidental . believe ford and chrysler also did same.
