I am restoring a 57 Chevy Bel Air Convertible with front bench seats. I would like to change over to a comfortable set of bucket seats that can adjust forward/rearward and will allow positioning a console running from rear of front seat to the dash. I can build the console (unless there is a nice one that fits) - BUT - I would appreciate any input into what seats may fit this car. There are a number of wrecking yards In the area - just need to know what to look for! I have heard of such modifications but there seems to be concern for the height of the seat - what should I know about that?
