Any ideas would be helpful. posted: August 4, 2008       Answers (2)   lsaltsman      the easiest way is the vin tag on the left front body pillar. the first two digits of the vin number indicated the engine. ford didnt use any engine identification tags for the engine itself. does it have a 2 barrel carb. or a 4 barrel carb.? this will help narrow it down. posted:  August 4, 2008   wanted      if it has a 2 barrel carb. it could either be a 292 cu. in. or a 332 cu. in.
