I am searching for the 1957 Corvette that I use to own, last I heard it was in Wash. or Oregon
This car was rootbeer brown with a white cove, I sold it in So. Calif. about 1969-70 and I heard it was later painted purple. It was driver when I had it and of course it was a 283 with 3 speed trans. I heard it was around in 2008 in Washington or Oregon. Would like to locate it and possibly buy it back.

If you have the V.I.N. take it to your local D.M.V. and they should be able to give you the last registered owner,s name.

You may also want to try a local used car dealer that is linked to Car Fax ,and for $25.00 they can run that V.I.N and see who comes up as the current owner.

Good luck on your search

I am sure you could find some Corvette clubs in those two states online somewhere. Send them an email or contact the officers of the clubs and ask if they would mind sharing with their members what you are searching for. The Corvette people know where nearly every Corvette is located in a multi-state ring!

While tracking down a lost car is no easy task, it sure is fun to hunt.
Everyone has offered some great information.
Have you tracked down the person you sold the car too? That might be a good starting point and lead you on some great adventures.

Here is some more homework to add to your assignment
