Will a classic truck with new paint stand up to the weather?
I really want to buy a classic truck, but don't have a garage. Am I just asking for trouble or can a classic truck that has been well restored with a new paint job be parked outside? There is no room on my lot to build a garage. I live in Maryland in the Washington DC suburbs, so the weather is not extreme but it does get cold once in a while. I'm willing to put a car cover on it. Thanks for your help.

Any old car or any car for that matter, parked outside suffers from the weather. Covered or not. fluctuations of heat and cold no matter how extreme as well as humidity will cause the car to sweat. It will rust the under carriage dull and bubble the paint in some cases and will wreak havoc on the rubber. I know this from personal experience having to put one of my cars outside. It is tragic.
Cheers,

We won't sell our Classics to Customers that want to store outside. You must remember most of these cars spent years and years outside and for that reason any damp climate will cause rust on inner panels to grow like cancer
