i have a 46 chev 1/2 ton pickup truck with an i.d. plate that has a serial number on it the model #1314, serial #6131413434. engine#c130481. body#1369. trim#392. paint#631. now my question is how do you read this as to a vin style of information as where it was built, year, etc. i have seen some sites as to where they have a v.i.n. break down as we use to day for the older years but this is the information i have on the i.d. plate. is their some one to shed some light on how to break down this serial number to say this is the year .etc. email at [email protected] or phone 403 504 6247. thanks

there should be a CK [ early ] or DP [ late ] in the serial number . if you look at the number it will brake itself down 6 [ model year ] 1314 model ,and 13434 vin number . this is a guess only , but it jumped out at me.
