I Bought This Truck From Colorado , As A ( Restore Project ) However, I Now Know That I Bought This From A Ford Hater !! , Someone Has Severely Cut Up This Frame & Ruined It For A Frame Off Restore, By Being Cheap ( Yes , The Cheap Always Turns Out Expensive !!! , So Rather Than Ordering The Correct Steering Box, They Adapted By ( Severely Cutting & Patching ) The Frame To Recieve A 1976 ThunderBird Steering Box ?? & They Have Extended The Rear Frame By Approx. 12" To Recieve This Unidentified Bed ( Can Anyone I.D , This Bed ) Have Exhausted All Know Search Engines & KeyWords & Have Found None Like It ??, Have Asked Over 30 Ford Guys & They Have Never Seen This Bed ?? HELP !!! , I Really Need A Good Clean Frame To Continue Saving This Rare Truck ! , If I Cant Find A Frame ? I Am Going To Turn It Into A Custom Stretched 6-10 Door Limo , That Will Be 1 Sharp , 1 of a kind Rig ! Have 15K In Her Now, May As Well Go For Broke & Rent Her Out ?? Would Really Rather Find A or Replacement Frame & Continue With The Restore. ( Not Sure What The Original Wheel Base Should Have Been For this set up Of , 1977 f-250 CrewCab 4x4 LongBed , & I Dont Like The Looks Of The ShortBed Crew ? Any Help Gr8ly Appreciated, Thanks In Advance ! Reply To getyasum2@hotmail.com

Thank You , retiredpartsman,, I Did Go To Carparts.com & Not Sure what i found, i went to see my vin tag & saw this:pic inc .there is the original Ford Vin Tag Of F26HCY20679 , Then Above That Is Another ( Yellow V.I.N Tag ) & It Says " This Vehicle Was Altered By Fleetwood Equipment Co. Date: 03/1977, They Applied The Same " Ford " V.I.N # , To This Tag, However , They Added W 0 5 2738 " And All G.V.W.R @ 7700 / G.A.W.R @ 3800 ( Front ) & 4940 ( Rear ) Stayed The Same As The Original Ford V.I.N. Tag.....Also Sent You Pics Of The Welds & Beefed Up Rear Leaf Springs & A Closeup Pic, Showing The Rear Diff. Is Set Way To The Rear ( 41" ) from center differential / rear , To Rear Tail Lights ??? ( That Being One Of The Most Obviously Noticable Differences On This Truck ) !!! Also My WheelBase Measures 174 " From Center Of Front Differential , To Center Of Rear Differential !!!, WITH THIS ODD BED, Which I Did Go Ahead & Measure & It Is 100" ( 8 ' -4 " ), ( Have you ever seen this bed before ) ???? , IS THIS A FACTORY CUSTOM BUILD ( STRETCHED ) , SEEING AS FLEETWOOD GOT THE TRUCK , THE SAME TIME ( MONTH & YEAR ) IT WAS BUILT ???

You have a very rare Super camper Special pickup box which was originally mounted on a equally rare 140 inch wheelbase F350 Super Camper Special. It had a unique dimension between the back panel of cab and centerline of rear axle to accommodate slide-in campers. It was 63.2 inches instead of 56.2 for the standard 8 ft. pickup box. Reason was to put more weight of the front axle by moving the rear axle rearward 8 inches. Also unique to this Camper Special pickup box is the side storage spare wheel compartment. Sorry I don't have info on your frame which appears to have been customized.
