64 Pontiac Vin # Info
I have a vin # of 894S16475. Is this a valid # for a 1964 Pontiac. The source was not sure if the 4th digit was a (5) or (S). Also was unsure if the 5th digit was a (1) or an (I). The way I have it above looks right to me. Could use some verification before I submit it to PHS for research.

I believe the 4th digit would be the "S" for South Gate, CA - Assembly Plant. The 5th digits and up should be the productions number so 1. Hope this helps!
