Heavy duty tranny, High performance engine. Good combo?
I have a 1976 Heavy Duty tranny that came off a 318 engine from a travel trailer. I also have a rebuilt 1978 block 318 bored out .30 over with all high performance parts. Would this be a good combo or would I need to change the rear-end gear differential to compensate for the torque of the engine?

if a 727 auto it should work out well .the 4 spd out of a truck is a top loader is geared to low in first gear for a passenger use.chrysler used the same rear axle in the cars with 318 or 360 cid engines so your rear axle should not be a problem with normal use
