I'm looking at a 1955 Dodge Royal in 100% original condition. Interior and Exterior are very good, engine (270 red ram) will not start - could be as small an issue as new starter, however have not had enough time to go thru everything yet? I'm told the car has not been started in 12 years. Car will be at an estate auction soon, wondering what I could/should expect to pay with the unknowns. Any ideas?

I am no Dodge expert, I'm more Pontiac obviously! Old Car Price Guide lists the value from $750 for a parts car up to $11,500 for a perfect, showroom vehicle. If you wanted to restore ANY car to showroom perfect condition plan on spending 20-40K. Not running, I wouldnt pay over 300 to 500 dollars, the market for 4dr., non-hipo cars is soft right now! It may have some good parts on it though?
