NEED TO KNOW HOW TO TELL THE YEAR OF A CONVERTIBLE TOP FOR A CADILLAC.THANKS FOR ANY HELP!! posted: December 20, 2008       Answers (1)   daisy9      actually,i was going to see if i was right.......check the 4 answers before myself. but i have been told in the past by mechanic's and vehicle restorer's that usually you can check the tail lights, they used to put the year of the vehicle on the tail lights if they are the original's. i was told this back in the 70's. i have found that not alway's true these days,but used to always be true. sources: old young mechanic's and hot rodder's................rebuild'em thereselves from the ground up. and use only original parts. sioux city,iowa people scott crooks posted:  October 12, 2009
