Would like to know what the old ride community thinks My "R" code ford is worth
I have a1965 Ford "custom" 4-door sedan. It came from the factory in Chicago as a 427 c.i. 425 h.p., medium-riser, dual-quad, bench seat, toploader 4-speed. It has been in our garage for 42 years. The original miles are 32,203. need to put the motor back together, and get the left rear quarter panel fixed. All of the original parts are still with the car. It has the 427 only "pyrex" front headlight covers, that are in mint condition. Could I get some feedback on the value of it? Any car (fords) can't be verified through a Marti report before 1967. All of the records were lost in a fire in the storage building in Detroit. Thank you for your time. Mike

While the combination of a 4 dr. with that specific motor and tranny setup is probably very rare, unfortunately the value is in the motor and tranny setup, either together or separately. I doubt that you could get any more than $2500-$3000, which is what the motor and tranny is worth. But that is my opinion. I'd also be interested in hearing some other opinions.
