Hey buddy, I just bought a 1952 sedan my title has the engine number on it. The engine number and a pillar number do not match and the dont. Most states titled these old cars by the engine. There are NO frame numbers on a 52 chevy. so check out your engine vin to see if that matches your title it is to the left of the distributor.

Try the electrical junction block passing through the firewall near the steering column, or near center of the firewall. I know early Chevy's had the a tag riveted on the firewall and 53 Chevy's on top of firewall.

You could try looking on the top of the frame between the rear wheel, trans crossmember and/or the back bumper area. Don't know if its there, but its worth a look.

I know this is where the frame #s are located on a 57 Chevy, don't know if its the same for you car. Unfortunately, they are next to impossible to see without taking the body off the frame. #'s are located on the top of the frame rail on the drivers side. One near where the door length ends, and the other near where the back seat starts. Good luck!
