A friend of mine has the new one in a charger,gets about 9 miles to the gallon and has the power of an old 318!!

I don't know because I couldn't afford one then and I can't now but I'd venture a guess that, like all things, the new hemis are more reliable, lower maintenance and fully capable of making as much power but will never be as cool as a the old 426 in a gutted super bee. I have been a passenger in the old and the new and the HP and torque range is going to be different between them. I don't think the new hemis will ever compare to the old dual quad 426 in a lightened super bee with a good tune on in terms of scaring the frijoles out of a passenger. Thanks.
