Which is better? The HEMI engine of today or the HEMI engine of yesteryear?
With the advertising of the HEMI engine in newer car's...I was wondering if these new engines are better and faster than the fabled HEMI'S of those from the past

I don't know because I couldn't afford one then and I can't now but I'd venture a guess that, like all things, the new hemis are more reliable, lower maintenance and fully capable of making as much power but will never be as cool as a the old 426 in a gutted super bee. I have been a passenger in the old and the new and the HP and torque range is going to be different between them. I don't think the new hemis will ever compare to the old dual quad 426 in a lightened super bee with a good tune on in terms of scaring the frijoles out of a passenger.

Thanks.
