I have a 1967 C10. The vin shows it to be a 1966. When did production of the 1967 model start?
Original title shows it was sold new in Sept. 1966.

some states used the year that the vehicle was first titled.once had a citation from ca that was titled as a 79,even tho 80 was the first model year.

the fifth digit of vin is the model year. 6=1966 7=1967
